  Con.bi Confezioni Biancheria S.p.A.
Was founded in 1974 from the merger of Olonia Textile Manufactuers (previously known as Maino Cottonworks) with Tesco Materials, with the aim of producing household linen items for third parties. From the outset, the company's size, the number of its employees (over 200), and the volumes produced made it Italy's number one company in the sector.

The Porri family, Snia Viscosa Ltd and Eliolona Ltd were the company's original shareholders.
Eliolona was behind the actual enterprise, which allowed it to create an important synergy with its verticalized spinning, weaving, printing, bleaching and marketing of household linens.

In 1980 Snia Viscosa sold up its shares to Giovanni Franco Porri and Eliolona, which brought them into an equal partnership situation. Eventually, in 1992, Eliolona definitively signed over its shares to the Porri family's Fimco estate agency.
The company boss has always been Giovanni Franco Porri, who has been in the materials business for over 40 years, first as Managing Director and then as President. He is now assisted by his children, Marco looking after the technical side of the business, and Elisabetta the commercial side.

The company is based in Cislago in the province of Varese on the main Milan-Varese road, right in the middle of the area dominated by the textiles industry to the north of Milan. The site covers 10,000 square metres, 6,200 of which are covered by the single story plant.
